AI Solutions Architect

Role Description

Architect and build Serendipity Capital’s proprietary AI and data platform – a unified infrastructure that connects the firm’s structured databases, unstructured knowledge, and external data sources through a common API layer, enabling AI-powered applications and agents across the investment life cycle.

Core Responsibilities

• Data infrastructure: Design and maintain the firm’s core data layer, including structured databases, document storage, and ingestion pipelines for internal and external data sources. Ensure data is clean, well‑organised, and accessible through standardised interfaces.
• Internal tooling and automation: Build internal tools and workflows that streamline investment operations, from research and pipeline management to portfolio monitoring. Select appropriate technologies and integrations, optimising for cost, reliability, and output quality.
• Systems architecture: Develop modular, maintainable systems that can evolve with the firm’s needs. Avoid lock‑in to any single vendor or framework and ensure components are composable and well‑documented.
• Infrastructure and security: Own hosting deployment, and data security decisions appropriate for a regulated investment firm handling sensitive deal flow and investor data. Keep systems lightweight, stable, and suitable for long‑term internal use.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
• AI-native engineer with expert proficiency in AI‑assisted development tools (e.g. Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) and the ability to leverage them to ship production software at accelerated pace
• Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) and agentic AI architectures
• Experience building AI/ML solutions including LLM applications, RAG pipelines, and vector databases
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript/Node.js, with working knowledge of SQL databases
• Hands‑on cloud infrastructure and DevOps experience including Docker, CI/CD, and Git
• Ability to lead full‑cycle projects from scoping through to stakeholder delivery
• Experience working directly with clients or senior stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Previous exposure to investment, venture capital, or financial services environments
