Job Title: Legal Counsel – Supply & Procurement (Construction)
Location: Scotland (Contract Role)
Type: Contract for 3 months possible to get extend or to get Perm.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to support global supply and procurement activities, with a strong focus on construction and capital projects. This role will involve advising on complex, high-value contracts, supporting procurement teams, and ensuring effective risk management across projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on supply, procurement, and construction contracts
- Draft, review, and negotiate high-value, multi-jurisdictional agreements
- Support large-scale infrastructure and capital projects
- Advise stakeholders on legal, commercial, and compliance risks
- Work closely with procurement teams and suppliers during contract negotiations
- Identify and mitigate legal and reputational risks
- Deliver training, templates, and guidance to internal teams
- Collaborate with internal and external legal teams where required
Key Requirements
- Qualified lawyer in Scotland (essential)
- Minimum 4+ years PQE
- Strong experience in construction law (2+ years preferred)
- Solid understanding of Scottish legal framework (essential)

- Strong commercial awareness and pragmatic approach
- Ability to clearly communicate complex legal concepts
- Experience managing stakeholders and supplier relationships
- Strong risk assessment and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in FMCG / manufacturing / infrastructure sectors
- Previous in-house legal experience
