Quality Assurance Manager – Cambridgeshire

An international food ingredients business is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to take ownership of their Quality Team and drive high standards across production. This is a hands‑on leadership role where your expertise will shape how quality is maintained and improved throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Quality Team, supporting audits, checks, and testing (sensory, QC, microbiological, and chemical) to ensure products meet specifications.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production and associated areas.
- Ensure production teams understand and adhere to quality standards.
- Manage complaints, conduct investigations, and support root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Escalate food safety concerns where needed and maintain compliance with relevant regulations and certifications.
- Report KPIs to internal teams and central functions, and develop customer responses including CAPA.
- Coach and develop your team through regular 121s, performance reviews, and annual development plans.
- Foster a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What You Bring
- Proven experience in a quality leadership or management role, preferably in food manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of food safety and quality standards (HACCP, GFSI certifications, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain accurate reporting and data systems.
- A proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset and the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage a team.
Practical Details
- Full‑time, Monday to Friday, on‑site in Cambridgeshire
- Office hours – 40 hours per week.
