Mechanical Supervisor (Working)

Job Overview

Artisan Recruitment is looking for a Mechanical Working Foreman for a well established mechanical contractor in Dorset.

Responsibilities

• Candidate would be from a plumbing / mechanical background who is capable of combining installation work with site supervision responsibilities.
• The position would be a combination of supervision and mechanical installation depending on project needs:
• Sometimes the individual may spend several months supervising mechanical works on site, working under our Project Manager.
• Other times they may be hands‑on installing plumbing or supporting our site teams.
• They may also move between sites providing technical support and supervision.

The intention is that this remains a long‑term hybrid role within the business. We are not specifically looking to move someone permanently away from installation into full‑time supervision; instead we want someone comfortable operating in both capacities depending on project requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong plumber / mechanical installer.
• Capable of supervising works when required, coordinating labour and maintaining standards on site.
• SSSTS certification, or willing to obtain it.

We are looking for someone keen, practical and flexible, happy to work across projects on the South Coast.
