Overview
We are currently looking for Smart Meter Engineers for our client. There are a number of opportunities available and we are looking for candidates based in Slough, Reading, Twickenham & Hemel Hempstead areas.
They provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.
This role will be within the Metering team, you’ll join the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector, and provide efficient and flexible services for gas, electricity and water meters.
What will you be doing?
As an engineer, you will form part of the Metering team that provides a wide range of services from Smart installations, investigating non-communicating smart meters, emergency and maintenance appointments. You’ll also respond to emergencies, restoring power or gas when customers need it the most, and ensure all jobs are completed on time while providing customers with in‑depth explanations of the benefits and safe usage of their new meter.
Customer service is a top priority. You’ll meet new people, chat with customers, and help make a difference to their lives.
You’ll receive continuous training to develop your skills and be promoted internally (87% of our field management team have been internally promoted). Health and safety is at the heart of everything you do, and your onboarding journey will prepare you as an ambassador for health and safety. You’ll attend weekly meetings, catch‑ups and have support from field managers and support functions to provide assistance. No day is the same, and you’ll have endless opportunities to shine.
Qualifications
- Valid UK driving licence, held for 1 year with less than 6 points.
- CCN1 / CMA1 / CMA3 qualifications, or NVQ Level 2 in Smart Metering Dual Fuel.
- Experience installing gas and electric smart meters.
- Previous MOCOPA experience.
