Service Engineer – Garage Doors (Domestic & Light Commercial)

Role Overview

Start Date: ASAP

Hours:

• Monday‑Thursday: 8:30 am – 5:15 pm
• Friday: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (Flexible working considered)

Salary: Up to £35,000

Additional Earnings: Potential bonus + out‑of‑hours overtime after a 6‑month probation period.

You will work directly with domestic customers and occasionally support light commercial projects. Your role will include service, repairs, installations, and assisting with surveys.

Key Responsibilities

Domestic (Primary Focus)

• Garage door repairs
• Garage door servicing
• Assisting with site surveys
• Warranty work and remedial tasks
• Installation of electric operators

Additional Commercial Work

• Installation of ironmongery products including:
• Door closers
• Locks
• Hinges

Key Requirements

• Experience in domestic garage door installation, repair, and maintenance
• Full, clean UK driving licence

Desirable Attributes

• Carpentry experience (e.g., hinge/lock replacements)
• Experience with commercial or industrial door installation or maintenance
