Resourcing Compliance Officer – Band 4

The Resourcing Compliance Officer is responsible for delivering a comprehensive immigration and recruitment compliance service within a Trust employing a significant number of Skilled Worker visa holders. The post holder ensures full compliance with Right to Work legislation, UKVI Sponsor License operational duties, NHS Employment Check Standards, and safeguarding requirements.
Acting as the first point of contact for visa and immigration queries, the role maintains accurate workforce compliance records, administers Certificates of Sponsorship, monitors visa expiry activity, and supports Corporate and Executive Vacancy Control Panel (VCP) processes.
You will also supervise Band 2 advertising assistants, guiding workload, ensuring quality, and supporting their development.
The post holder works independently within established policies and procedures, escalating complex or high‑risk matters to the Resourcing Manager.

This role is responsible for delivering comprehensive administrative and compliance support across Right to Work compliance, pre‑employment checks, and recruitment governance within the organisation. It ensures that all processes align with UKVI regulations, NHS Employment Check Standards, and internal policies, while maintaining high standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and efficiency.

Qualifications
- Good standard of general education including GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
- Knowledge of UK Right to Work legislation or immigration compliance
- Knowledge of NHS Employment Check Standards
Knowledge and Skills
- Working knowledge of UK Right to Work legislation and repeat checking requirements
- Understanding of NHS Employment Check Standards and Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) requirements
- Knowledge of data protection legislation (GDPR) and secure handling of confidential information
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret and apply policy, legislation, and guidance correctly
Experience
- Experience working within Human Resources, recruitment, workforce administration, or compliance‑focused role.
- Experience responding to staff and manager queries in a professional and timely manner
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Experience processing and verifying statutory documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
- Experience maintaining electronic records and compliance databases.
- Experience monitoring deadlines and producing reports to support regulatory compliance
- Experience supporting Skilled Worker visa sponsorship within a large organisation.
- Experience working in an NHS or similarly regulated public sector environment.
- Experience using ESR or similar HR systems.
- Experience preparing for or supporting internal or external audit processes.
