ANNA Money is an AI-native business account for small businesses in the UK and Australia.
If you are interested in applying for this job, please make sure you meet the following requirements as listed below.
ANNA combines banking with a fully automated “Auto-Accountant” that handles bookkeeping, tax preparation and filing, and day-to-day financial administration for SMEs.
Our long-term vision is to evolve ANNA into the first (and possibly only) operational employee a small business needs — an AI deputy that can interact conversationally with the owner and handle core operational tasks such as:
- payments and corporate cards
- expense management and invoicing
- bookkeeping and accounting
- tax preparation and filing (VAT, corporation tax, income tax for sole traders)
- Companies House filings
- payroll and staff administration
- operational support functions such as customer communication and sales assistance
To accelerate the adoption of this proposition, we are seeking a Chief Business Development Officer to build a major distribution channel through strategic partnerships.
Role Mission
The core objective of the role is to drive customer acquisition through embedded partnerships.
This involves integrating ANNA’s Auto-Accountant capabilities into third-party software products used by SMEs, allowing their users to access accounting and tax automation directly within their existing tools.
Potential partners may include:
- mobile POS providers
- marketplaces and commerce platforms
- vertical SaaS providers (hospitality, retail, logistics, professional services, etc.)
- industry-specific SME management software
These partnerships are expected to operate primarily on a revenue-share model, with ANNA’s accounting and tax capabilities embedded into partner ecosystems.
Responsibilities
The Partnerships Director will own the full lifecycle of this channel, including:
Opportunity Identification
- Identify high-potential partnership opportunities in SME software ecosystems
- Research vertical SaaS, POS, marketplace, and platform providers
- Evaluate distribution potential, economics, and strategic fit
Partnership Development
- Develop compelling partnership proposals and commercial structures
- Build relationships with senior decision-makers at partner organisations
- Conduct negotiations and close partnership agreements
Internal Coordination
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to scope integrations
- Align product roadmap with partnership opportunities
- Coordinate go-to-market strategies for embedded offerings
Execution & Growth
- Oversee implementation of integrations
- Support partner launches and ongoing relationship management
- Monitor performance and optimise partnerships over time
Analytics & Performance
- Track funnel performance and partner-driven acquisition metrics
- Operate dashboards and product analytics to evaluate channel performance
- Continuously identify ways to scale the partnership ecosystem
Requirements
We are looking for a senior operator who combines strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.
Key qualities include:
Relationship Builder
- Ability to establish trust and productive working relationships quickly
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Skilled at understanding partner motivations, constraints, and incentives
Commercial Strategist
- Able to translate partnership opportunities into realistic growth projections
- Experienced in structuring revenue‑share partnerships
Operator
- Comfortable managing multiple long‑cycle deals at different stages simultaneously
- Able to independently research markets and originate opportunities
Product‑Aware
- Strong understanding of technical and product implications of integrations
- Comfortable working with product and engineering teams
Data‑Driven
- Familiar with product analytics, dashboards, and funnel analysis
- Uses data to evaluate and optimise partnership performance
Strong candidates will likely bring:
- Established contacts in B2B and B2C technology ecosystems
- Experience embedding financial or operational products into other platforms
- Background working with marketplaces, POS systems, or vertical SaaS
- Experience scaling distribution through platform partnerships
