Your new roleWorking as part of the central finance team, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality financial reporting and control across the European region. This position is ideal for a qualified accountant who thrives in a fast‑paced, international environment.Key responsibilities include:
- Managing multi-currency accounting across several European entities
- Leading and supporting month‑end close, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
- Maintaining strong SOX, financial controls and compliance frameworks
- Preparing reconciliations, journals and variance analysis to support local teams
- Acting as a trusted partner to local finance teams across Europe, providing guidance, resolving queries and ensuring standardisation of processes.
- Supporting regional audits and driving improvements in reporting quality
- Contributing to ongoing transformation and efficiency projects
What you’ll need to succeed
- Qualified Accountant (practice background preferred) with post-qualification experience in industry
- Experience within insurance, financial services, or another highly regulated sector
- Strong understanding of multi-currency ledgers and consolidations
- Solid month‑end process experience with strong attention to detail
- Exposure to SOX, controls or compliance frameworks
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with teams across Europe
- Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines
