The successful candidate will be providing support to the Managing Director in handling a variety of commercial property transactions. The caseload includes:

- Commercial sales and purchases of freehold
t
Acting for commercial landlords and tenants in the granting of leases
t
Rent deposits
t
Share purchase agreemetns
t
Re-financing
t
SIPP transfers
t
Agricultural transactions
t
Development sales
t
Option and overage agreements
This varied and fast-paced role requiring strong legal secretarial skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Key responsibilities:
- t
- Open and maintain legal files in line with the firm’s risk management procedures
t
Produce letters, forms, and legal documents to a high standard
t
Handle telephone enquiries in a professional manner
t
Perform general office duties, such as photocopying, scanning and filing)
t
Conduct property searches using appropriate online platforms
t
Manage post-completion SDLT submissions and land registry registrations
t
Carry out searches and handle land registry applications
t
Ensure compliance with anti-money laundering regulations
t
Maintain confidentiality and uphold firm procedures at all times

Candidate Requirements:
- t
- Proven experience as a legal secretary in a commercial property department
t
Fast and accurate touch typing (ideally 60 WPM or more)
t
Excellent IT sills, particularly in Microsoft Office
t
Strong written and verbal communication skills
t
Meticulous attention to detail
t
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
