Role Overview
We’re looking for a Product Director to lead product management for a portfolio of backend systems, client‑facing APIs, internal admin tools, and internal SDKs used across multiple game teams and studios. This is primarily a product leadership role with direct management responsibility for several TPMs. You will align priorities across stakeholders, guide roadmap decisions, and ensure our backend platforms and SDKs remain effective, scalable, and useful for internal customers. This role is mostly a leadership / organisational role which may require some hands‑on product work. You should be comfortable operating in a fast‑moving mobile game development environment, bringing clarity, pace, and pragmatism rather than bureaucracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of TPMs and a Technical Writer
- Own prioritization and roadmap alignment across multiple backend systems, APIs, admin panels, and internal SDKs
- Coordinate across engineering teams, game teams, and studio stakeholders to ensure clear priorities and strong execution
- Drive a pragmatic, agile, low‑friction way of working
- Help shape product direction for internal platforms that support multiple game teams
- Ensure systems are reliable and fit for the needs of internal customers
- Improve stakeholder satisfaction, collaboration, and adoption of platform capabilities
- Step into hands‑on product work where needed, especially for high‑priority cross‑team topics
- Encourage effective use of AI tools to improve speed, quality, and day‑to‑day execution
Required Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
- Strong experience in product management or product leadership for backend platforms, internal systems, APIs, or SDKs
- Experience managing a team
- Strong personal use of AI tools to improve efficiency and decision‑making
- Experience working closely with backend or SDK development
- Strong stakeholder management and prioritization skills across multiple teams
- Clear, direct, open communication style
- Proactive, pragmatic, low‑ego leadership
- Agile mindset and comfort with changing priorities
- Ability to reduce friction, not add process for its own sake
- Enough technical fluency to work credibly with engineers and make sound trade‑off decisions
Technical fluency expected
You do not need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable with core technical concepts such as:
- APIs and client‑server interactions
- SDKs and developer workflows
- Experience of working with complex distributed systems and managing interdependencies between those systems
- backend architecture, dependencies, and integration trade‑offs
This role suits someone who is curious, adaptable, automation‑minded, and able to turn emerging AI practices into practical commercial value.
