Overview

Surrey Downs Health & Care is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Business Support Manager. This is an development opportunity for candidates aiming to build a career in healthcare management, governance, HR, finance, policy, and business analysis. The role provides comprehensive business support including project management, data analysis, corporate governance, and secretariat support to key forums and meetings. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to influence outcomes, improve processes, and support high-quality service delivery. The role offers opportunities to develop skills across business management, strategy, and service delivery within a fast-paced, multi-professional environment, with full induction and ongoing support.

Responsibilities

  • Develop information systems and provide a high-quality document management service so information is stored in a structured, secure, and easily accessible manner for those who need it.
  • Ensure the teams comply with corporate governance matters on behalf of the Director and the Senior Management Team.
  • Compile, prioritise, manage, and maintain the team’s business plans on behalf of the Director.
  • Provide regular reports and assurance on key strategic projects. Review progress, identify risks, consider options, and take action to control and adjust against key project milestones and objectives of the business case, including contingency plans and effective communication channels with stakeholders.
  • Set up administrative and information systems and processes.
  • Demonstrate a high level of communication skills with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work autonomously, using initiative and judgement regarding key decisions about service direction and activities that may impact delivery of key targets.
  • Provide cover for other team members as required.
  • Develop and implement business policies in line with corporate governance policies and procedures.
