Overview

NHS Forth Valley is recruiting to its Information Governance team. We are looking for someone to support NHS Forth Valley’s management of information requests received under Scotland’s freedom of information laws. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all freedom of information requests.
  • Assess and allocate requests, collate information received from departments and draft responses.
  • Advise and assist applicants making requests, providing guidance to services on the application of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2002, and interaction with other laws such as Data Protection legislation.
  • Develop skills in all areas of information governance, delivering training and helping to improve processes and documentation to support organisational‑wide information governance maturity.

Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting and applying information governance legislation.
  • Demonstrated critical analysis skills, sound judgement and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to present and explain complicated information in an accessible way.
  • Flexible approach to work, effectively manage a workload with competing demands.
  • Access to transport, as the post involves cross‑site working and ability to travel throughout the area of service delivery.

Travel and Disclosure Requirements

Travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential. Completion of a Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check is required.

Benefits

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. There will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.

Sponsorship
