We’re partnered with a long-established, multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Basingstoke. They’re looking for a Senior Civil Engineer with a Drainage & Infrastructure focus to join and help lead their growing design and delivery team.

This role offers true project ownership from bid stage to delivery, combining hands‑on technical responsibility with the opportunity to mentor others and progress into a leadership position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed designs for infrastructure projects, delivering drainage, highways, residential developments, rail, commercial, education and leisure.
• Produce drawings and calculations for planning.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior colleagues, helping them develop practical, high-quality solutions.
• Produce flood risk assessments and planning documents.
• Conduct inspections, site surveys, and technical assessments, producing detailed reports to inform design and project delivery.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities and stakeholders.

What we are looking for

• Fluent in Causeway Flow or MicroDrainage.
• Skilled in AutoCAD and Civil 3D for drainage design on residential, rail, commercial, and similar projects.
• Knowledge of flood risk assessments and relevant planning documents.
• Someone with a client-focused approach, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
