The Role

Carlisle Support Services is the chosen supplier of event staff at Ascot Racecourse and we are currently recruiting Event Security Officers from the surrounding areas for the upcoming racing season and other race events all year round at the racecourse.

Ascot racecourse is renowned as the home of racing and hosts 26 race days each year, including the famous Royal Ascot plus many corporate events.

We are looking for smart, reliable Event Security Officers with good communication skills to help us provide a professional, efficient and safe service for our client at the racecourse. Working at the racecourse is a fun and lively affair with a variety of interesting roles and we are looking to build our team to support race day operations.

Duties

• Ensuring the security and safety of all attendees, VIPs and staff.
• Conducting bag searches and access control at entry points.
• Patrolling event areas and responding to security incidents.
• Assisting with crowd control and emergency procedures.
• Providing excellent customer service while maintaining a professional presence.

• Royal Ascot – Thursday 18 June 2026
• Royal Ascot – Friday 19 June 2026
• Royal Ascot – Saturday 20 June 2026

Our recruitment process is streamlined and accessible to all. Upon review of your application, you will be invited to attend an assessment session. If successful you will be invited to further training and onboarding to the Carlisle Support Services team.

Requirements

• Completed school age education or training.
• SIA License Required – Must hold a valid Door Supervisor License.
• Reliable, punctual, flexible and smart in appearance.
• Friendly, approachable and always professional.
• Enthusiastic and motivated to do a great job.
• Ideally previous experience in an events environment or customer service role.
• Able to interact with clients and customers in a positive manner.
• NVQ2 in Spectator Safety or willingness to work towards the qualification (desirable).
• Willing to work at other Carlisle Events venues across the region.
• Successful candidates will need to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes. This could include passport, driving licence, utility bill dated in the last 3 months, HMRC letter, original bank statement, birth certificate or a valid share code.
