We’re partnering with a specialist infrastructure delivery business playing a key role in one of the UK’s largest and most ambitious water programmes.

With a multi-billion-pound investment underway, this is a unique opportunity to take ownership of complex, high-impact projects focused on improving water quality, reducing pollution, and strengthening critical infrastructure across the South West .

The Opportunity

This is a senior Programme Manager position where you will lead the strategic delivery of a portfolio of water infrastructure projects, spanning storm overflows, sewerage networks, and supply systems.

You’ll be at the forefront of AMP8 delivery, working closely with key stakeholders, regulators, and delivery partners to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the end-to-end delivery of a multi-project programme
  • Setting programme strategy across delivery, risk, procurement, and governance
  • Managing and developing a team of 10–12 professionals
  • Overseeing contractors and partners to ensure time, cost, and quality outcomes
  • Acting as a senior point of contact for clients, regulators, and stakeholders
  • Driving programme performance, continuous improvement, and best practice
  • Managing programme‑level risks, financials, and commercial decisions

About You

  • Proven experience delivering water or wastewater infrastructure programmes
  • Strong understanding of AMP frameworks / regulatory environments
  • Background in utilities, civil engineering, or infrastructure delivery
  • Experience leading teams and managing senior stakeholders
  • Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets and contracts
  • Ideally qualified in PRINCE2, MSP, PMP or similar
