DevOps Engineer – Up to £60,000 + £9k On-Call

Manchester (2 days per week in office)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a DevOps Engineer to join a fast-growing, product-led business undergoing significant digital transformation.

This role is ideal for someone looking to move beyond a traditional support-focused DevOps position and play a key role in shaping how platforms are built, deployed, and scaled within a modern cloud environment.

The Role

• Build and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Design and improve AWS cloud infrastructure (networking, security, scalability)
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
• Drive best practices in observability, resilience, and reliability
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve developer experience
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term improvements

Requirements

• Experience in a DevOps, Platform, or Infrastructure role
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (e.g. EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS)
• Proven experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, routing, firewalls)
• Scripting experience (Python, Bash, or similar)
• Experience working with scalable, cloud-based systems

Package

• Salary up to £60,000
• £9,000 on-call allowance
• Hybrid working (2 days per week in Manchester office)
