Are you an experienced Band 5 Nurse looking for the next step in your career or a current Band 6 looking for a fresh challenge as a Mental Health Liaison opportunity in Central Manchester?
We have an opportunity for you to be part of fast growing and developing services. In line with the Five Year Forward Plan for Mental Health and an exciting transformation program of services, we are expanding our existing hospital liaison services. Greater Manchester Mental Health Service are recruiting Band 6 mental health practitioners at our busy Central Manchester Site to support this expansion.
Key Responsibilities
You will be actively supported to develop as a mental health professional, building on your existing experience and knowledge. As the successful candidate, you will be enthusiastic, flexible and committed to delivering high quality mental health care in the general hospital and A&E settings. You will bring with you a range of experiences and an established knowledgebase that will further enrich our teams and the service we provide. These personal attributes will enable you to provide comprehensive person‑centred assessments, advice, direct interventions and onward care planning to people of a range of ages, with different needs.
Qualifications
We are looking for enthusiastic, ‘can do’, motivated Band 6 Mental Health Practitioners from a range of professional backgrounds including perinatal, later life and CAMHs. Your learning will be further supported by working within an experienced multidisciplinary team among experts involved in research and service development agendas. Your knowledge and experience should enable you to work within a 24/7 service, bridging the gap between physical and mental health care.
