We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager (Clinical) to support the Home Manager in delivering safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care in line with regulatory standards and best practice. You will provide clinical leadership to the nursing and care teams, ensuring residents receive high-quality, person-centred care that promotes dignity, choice, and wellbeing.

In this Deputy Home Manager role, you will take responsibility for clinical governance and support the day-to-day running of the home in the absence of the Home Manager. You will mentor and supervise staff, conduct clinical audits, review and update care plans, oversee medication management, and ensure accurate documentation.

You will also contribute to pre-admission assessments, risk assessments, and ongoing evaluations of residents needs, maintaining strong relationships with healthcare professionals, residents families, and external agencies to ensure continuity and quality of care.

Skills and Attributes

  • Previous experience as a Deputy Home Manager or in a similar senior clinical role

  • Ability to engage with residents and understand their needs to deliver excellent, person-centred care

  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and referral pathways for adult protection

  • Strong working knowledge of Care Quality Commission standards

  • Excellent relationship-building skills with families, staff, and external professionals

  • Ability to promote resident and family involvement in care planning and evaluation

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with current Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration
