• Work Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm
• Ensure compliance with UK legislation and customer codes of practices.
• Develop and organise food safety staff training across the business (in conjunction with HR and our external training resources).
• Ensure the QA team does a monthly internal audit and ensure all audits are completed.
• Record all non-conformities and customer complaints.
• Maintain the Quality Management System Manual of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with BRC v9.
• Support the Chair of HACCP and QA Meetings to ensure regular meetings and reviews.
• Support the Technical Manager when on leave.
• Check duties are undertaken by QA Assistant and other staff allocated to support the QA Team.
• Ensure Health & Safety guidelines are maintained at all times inclusive of HACCP.
• Manage plant and product swab and micro testing programme.

The Person

• Need food manufacturing experience in a similar role.
• Need some experience supervising a direct report (1 to start).
• Ideally hold HACCP and Hygiene to level 3.
• Ideally hold Internal Auditing qualification and experience.
• Able to start work earlier or start later one day a week to carry out spot checks. xwzovoh Ref 3460
