Our Central Service functions underpin the success of our brands and we’re looking for a People and Culture Business Partner (HR Business Partner) to join the team. You’ll be based in our Sale office where we work Mon – Wed in office and Thu and Fri from home.

This role is a unique opportunity to work alongside our People and Operations Director to set and embed the standard for performance management, shape our colleague experience by leading engagement activities and you’ll play an important role in us attracting and retaining key talent. You’ll also coach and develop the People and Culture Advisor as part of your team.

The Role

As the People and Culture Business Partner, you'll be working closely all stakeholders across the business to drive colleague experience. You will:

· Set and embed high-quality performance management standards across the organisation.

· Coach and upskill managers to handle performance conversations confidently and consistently.

· Line manage the People & Culture Advisor, offering development, coaching and oversight of workload and priorities.

· Lead engagement initiatives, including the design, launch, analysis and action planning of the employee engagement survey.

· Analyse themes and trends, conduct root cause analysis, and deliver data-driven recommendations.

· Partner cross‑functionally with L&D, Operations and others to improve processes, remove barriers and strengthen the employee experience.

· Lead complex and sensitive ER cases from start to tribunal, ensuring fair, consistent and legally-sound outcomes.

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and provide expert, accurate advice to leaders and managers.

· Partner with leaders to understand people challenges and provide proactive, strategic solutions.

· Support organisational design activities, including structure reviews, role clarity, workforce planning and capability assessment.

· Work closely with hiring managers to support internal colleague recruitment and talent pipelines.

· Influence hiring decisions, ensuring alignment to values, capability requirements and long-term business needs.

About You

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:

· Experience as an HR/People Business Partner in a fast-paced sales based sector ideally staffing or recruitment.

· Strong experience handling complex ER cases, including tribunal preparation.

· Confidence supporting organisation design and structural change.

· A solid understanding of UK employment law, with a commitment to staying up to date.

· Skilled influencing and coaching capabilities at all levels.

· Experience supporting recruitment, internal mobility or talent acquisition activities.

· A collaborative, proactive and solution-focused approach.
