Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader on behalf of one of our clients to join their experiencedcare team, supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism. This is a hands-on role where you will lead by example, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is delivered at all times. You will play a key role in promoting independence, dignity, and safety, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Staff Leadership: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of support staff, including managing performance, delivering training, and supporting professional development.
  • Person-Centred Care: Ensure all support plans are effectively implemented and tailored to each individual, promoting independence, choice, dignity, and an improved quality of life.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance:Monitor service delivery to ensure full compliance with CQC standards, company policies, and relevant legislation.
  • Operational Management:Oversee daily operations, including rota coordination, risk assessments, incident management, and safeguarding responsibilities.
  • Reporting & Communication:Work closely with Service Managers, attend review meetings, and maintain effective communication with families, professionals, and external stakeholders.
  • On-call Duties:Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota to provide additional support when required.
  • Hands-on Support & Administration:Work flexibly as part of the care team on shift, while also completing required administrative duties accurately and on time.

Key Skills & Requirements

  • Experience:Proven experience in a Team Leader role within a learning disabilities and/or autism setting.
  • Knowledge:Strong understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding procedures, and person-centred care principles.
  • Leadership Skills:Excellent communication, decision-making, and team motivation abilities, with a proactive and supportive leadership style.
  • Full drivers license

Qualifications:

  • NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care (Level 3 or above), or currently working towards this qualification.
