Deputy Nursery Manager

About the RoleWe are looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of a busy, high-quality Early Years setting.

You will play a key role in leading the team, maintaining high standards of care and education, and ensuring compliance with the EYFS framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Nursery Manager in the overall daily operations of the nursery
• Lead, motivate and support staff to deliver high-quality EYFS practice
• Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and welfare requirements are always met
• Oversee planning, observations and assessments across all rooms
• Support staff development, supervisions and appraisals
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers and external agencies
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and staff training
• Maintain occupancy, ratios and smooth day-to-day running of the setting

Requirements

• Full and relevant Level 3 (or above) Early Years qualification
• Previous experience as a Room Leader, Third in Charge or Deputy Manager
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Passion for delivering outstanding childcare and education
