Long Term Futures are recruiting a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil in a school in Haringey, supporting a child across all aspects of school life.
This is a rewarding long-term opportunity for someone with experience in SEND, particularly supporting pupils with Autism (ASD) and ADHD.
The role requires a calm, patient and relationship-focused individual who can build trust and provide consistent, structured support throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil across the school day
- Support learning, behaviour and emotional regulation
- Assist the pupil in accessing the curriculum and classroom activities
- Implement strategies linked to EHCP and individual support plans
- Support during lessons, transitions and unstructured times
- Build a strong, positive and trusting relationship with the pupil
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience supporting children with ASD and ADHD
- A resilient, patient and consistent approach
- Strong understanding of behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
- Experience in a SEND or primary school setting
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
