Music Assistant – SEMH Secondary – Tower Hamlets (Bow) 100-115 per day | Full-time | Long-term | ASAP Start
Working with a secondary SEMH school in Bow looking for a strong Music TA to support students with behavioural needs through creative engagement.
This isn’t a sit-back role – you need to be confident, proactive, and able to use music as a tool to build relationships and regulate behaviour.
The role: – Support music lessons and practical sessions – Work 1:1 and in small groups with SEMH students – Help manage behaviour and keep students engaged – Use music (production, instruments, rhythm etc.) to support learning and emotional regulation
Must have: – Experience working in SEMH, PRU, or behavioural settings – Strong interest or background in music (formal or informal) – Confident managing challenging behaviour – Able to build rapport quickly and stay calm under pressure
Ideal: – Experience with music production / instruments – Team Teach or similar training
