Senior ABAB/UI5 Developer

Our client, a leader in the technology sector, is currently seeking a Senior SAP UI5/ABAP Developer to join their team on a permanent basis. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge SAP technologies in a dynamic and agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance SAP applications using SAP ABAP OO and traditional SAP ABAP
• Implement change management processes including transports and source code control with abapGit
• Utilise ABAP OOP for user exits and enhancements
• Perform dialog programming and report writing with ALV and ABAP lists
• Implement complex integrations via OData services and REST APIs
• Contribute to SAP UI5 development including controls, data binding, ODataModel, and JSONModel
• Develop unit tests using ABAP Unit ensuring high-quality software delivery
• Participate actively in Agile practices and ceremonies
• Lead code reviews, uphold Clean Core principles, and provide guidance to colleagues
• Apply excellent problem-solving and debugging skills to resolve issues

Job Requirements:

• Significant experience in SAP ABAP OO and traditional SAP ABAP development
• Proficiency with Agile methodologies
• In-depth knowledge of SQL and ABAP
• Strong experience in SAP UI5 development
• Proven experience in implementing integrations via OData services and REST APIs
• Familiarity with development of unit tests using ABAP Unit
• Strong team collaboration skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in JavaScript/TypeScript development
• Knowledge of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform)
