Overview
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for experienced technologists with expertise in cloud technologies, AI, Generative AI, and data analytics to join the UK Solutions Architecture team. The team works with AWS customers in the Travel and Hospitality industry to understand needs and challenges, offering insights and guidance on how to best utilize AWS technology to create business value and drive innovation.
Responsibilities
You will blend business acumen with technical guidance to engage with organizations at all stages of cloud adoption, helping them reinvent their businesses using AWS technology and guiding their cloud journey. You will encourage innovation and drive change to achieve better customer outcomes. You will manage the overall technical relationship between customers and AWS, and lead activities such as architecture reviews, white-boarding sessions, creating and delivering demos, and technical workshops. You will engage at all levels of the organization to influence decision-makers.
Internally, you’ll be the voice of the customer, sharing needs and requirements to inform the roadmap of AWS features while collaborating with teams such as account management, professional services, support, and the AWS partner ecosystem.
You will create and share best practices at scale, including through the creation of technical content and reference architectures, for use cases including Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Serverless and Container-based architectures, Analytics and Big Data, DevOps, and Security. You will practice creativity by linking technology to tangible solutions and educating AWS customers about the art of the possible. You will build relationships with customers, including C-suite and Line of Business stakeholders, to establish yourself as their trusted advisor.
Additional responsibilities include sharing the voice of the customer to inform AWS feature roadmaps, participating in the creation and sharing of best practices and new reference architectures, evangelising and educating about AWS technology through workshops, meetups, public speaking, and developing areas of depth in technical domains relevant to customer outcomes and your interests.
You will work directly with customers to accelerate complex projects and align technological solutions with long-term business objectives, and you will continually learn to keep up to date with evolving technologies.
Qualifications
Practical knowledge of the AWS platform is desirable but not required if you have a sound technical foundation and a desire to learn. Experience within specific technology domains is valuable (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
- Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
- Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries
- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
