Salary National: £76,266- £83,893 London: £83,369- £92,282

As an experienced Senior Business Continuity Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in safeguarding the resilience of our critical client services. You’ll lead the design and delivery of practical continuity solutions that ensure operations can withstand prolonged disruptions to outsourced providers. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused contract role suited to an individual who can operate independently like a consultant, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver practical, regulator-ready outcomes.

Embedded within Operations, you’ll have the opportunity to drive initiatives that strengthen our ability to respond to severe but plausible scenarios. Your expertise, judgement, and commitment to operational excellence will be central to building a resilient organisation that our clients can rely on.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery and enhancement of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework across Operations.
  • Own business continuity planning, testing, and exercising, ensuring plans are practical and executable.
  • Partner closely with the Operational Resilience team to run scenario testing, identify continuity and recovery gaps, and validate arrangements against Operational Resilience outcomes.
  • Design and validate workarounds, alternative operating models, and interim service arrangements to maintain client services during extended third‑party disruption.
  • Collaborate with Third Party Risk Management, Vendor Management, and Procurement to assess the resilience of material providers, challenge continuity assumptions, and align plans with supplier exit and transition strategies.
  • Produce clear, regulator‑ready documentation, MI, and senior‑level reporting.
  • Support internal assurance, audit activity, and regulatory engagement.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong experience in Business Continuity and/or Operational Resilience within Financial Services.
  • Background across banking, insurance, wealth and/or asset management.
  • Demonstrable experience supporting UK Operational Resilience (FCA/PRA), particularly scenario testing and validation.
  • Proven experience operating in outsourced and third‑party‑dependent operating models.
  • Solid understanding of TPRM, vendor resilience, and continuity considerations.
  • Experience working within, or closely aligned to, Operations.
  • Comfortable operating in regulated environments with high evidencing expectations.
  • Previous contract, interim, or consulting‑style experience preferred.
  • Highly independent, delivery‑driven, and outcomes‑focused.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills (no direct reports).
  • Pragmatic and commercially minded — able to translate disruption scenarios into workable solutions.
  • Clear, confident communicator at operational and senior levels.

We understand not everyone will meet 100% of the requirements, however we encourage you to apply if you think your skills are a good fit for this role.

This job vacancy may close earlier than the advertised date if a suitable candidate is found. We encourage interested applicants to submit their applications as soon as possible.
