Associate – Private Equity Secondaries

Our client, a leading global private equity secondaries investor, is seeking a high-calibre Associate to join its London-based investment team. This opportunity is particularly well-suited to candidates from top-tier investment banking backgrounds looking to transition into buy-side investing. The role offers exposure to a broad spectrum of secondary transactions, including LP-led deals, GP-led restructurings, and structured solutions, providing an exceptional platform for long-term development within a leading secondaries franchise.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the sourcing, screening, and evaluation of LP interests, GP-led transactions, and structured secondary opportunities
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuations, and investment committee materials
• Perform rigorous quantitative analysis and support underwriting across complex transaction structures
• Assist with commercial, financial, and legal due diligence processes
• Work closely with senior investment professionals across live transactions
• Support portfolio monitoring, performance analysis, and strategic initiatives

Candidate Profile

• 2–4 years of experience in investment banking (M&A, Leveraged Finance, or Financial Sponsors), or relevant investing roles
• Outstanding technical, analytical, and financial modelling skillset developed in a high-performance IB environment
• Strong understanding of valuation methodologies, fund structures, and cash flow modelling
• High level of intellectual rigour with the ability to analyse complex transactions and datasets
• Fluency in a modern European language is highly desirable, with German particularly advantageous given deal flow exposure
• Detail-oriented, highly organised, and able to manage multiple workstreams under tight timelines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment
