Overview

We are seeking a talented Cyber Security Assurance Consultant whom has Cyber Security Architecture skills which will enable them to carryout Security Assurance duties.

Responsibilities

As a Cyber Security Assurance Consultant – you will be responsible for analyzing, maintaining and implementing the Cyber Security requirements from the business. This specific role will have a focus on governance, risk and compliance.

  • Security assurance on new projects – ensuring designs, suppliers, and implementations meet all the Security standards
  • Assure existing systems to ensure their security levels remain sufficient to meet current threats
    • Supplier assurance

You will be responsible for both monitoring and reporting upon the security status. You will be working within a small cyber security team and may be expected to undertake a wide variety of functions to help deliver a secure environment. You will be expected to digest, summarise and provide recommendations based upon a range of security information from a range of third parties.

You will be expected to be able to work across multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timescales and priorities are met, or if not management is alerted well in advance.

  • Awareness of TW security guidance, architecture and standards
  • Review HLDs for security compliance
  • Review LLD for security compliance
  • Undertake device hardening status tests
  • Scope and Run external penetration tests
  • Prepare risk assessments for cyber security risks
  • Run regular IT-wide assessments using third parties (including penetration tests)– on hardware, applications and systems
  • Develop monitoring and control requirements
  • Analysis of monitoring and operational reports
  • Develop the governance and reporting tools and procedures
  • Detailed review of vulnerability reports and track remediation status
  • Security advice to third party members working on Taylor Wimpey
  • Facilitate the creation of BIAs (Business Impact Assessments) – by new projects and services
  • While working with a wide range of infrastructure and applications the largest area is Microsoft and Azure.

Essential Skills

  • Cyber Security Assurance, Governance, Risk Assessment/Management skill.
  • Ability to communicate the linkage between risks and threats/poor security controls.
  • Capability to identify potential risks in various systems and recommend preventive measures.
  • Experience with cyber authentication, MS/DUO MFA, and analysis.
  • Previous operational cyber security industry Experience.
  • Security Assurance Experience
  • Expertise in CyberSecurity Risk Management
  • Proficiency in high-level design (HLD) and low-level design (LLD).
  • Experience in setting up and scoping penetration assessments.
