In this role, you’ll help to grow Sopra Steria’s Secure and Defence Consulting practice, working closely with clients across the UK Intelligence Community, Defence and Secure Government. You’ll operate as a trusted advisor, shaping early‑stage opportunities and leading large‑scale programmes to successful delivery. You’ll also play an active part in developing our consulting capability, supporting colleagues to grow and thrive in this unique environment.

Hybrid working applies, you will work remotely for day‑to‑day activities, with occasional travel to client sites when required, you will need to be based within 1hr commute of either Cheltenham or Manchester, and MUST hold ACTIVE eDV.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Opening and expanding consulting opportunities across UKIC, Defence and Secure Government clients.
  • Securing and building revenue growth pipelines using an established senior network.
  • Building and maintaining senior partner relationships within highly classified environments.
  • Shaping technology and digital transformation opportunities early in their lifecycle and leading bids to secure million‑pound‑scale engagements.
  • Leading large‑scale transformation programmes and acting as senior escalation point.
  • Overseeing consulting teams to ensure successful delivery against quality and revenue targets.

What you’ll bring:

  • eDV clearance and experience operating within highly classified environments.
  • Extensive experience as a Management Consultant.
  • Credibility working with UKIC, Defence or Secure Government clients.
  • A track record of winning and shaping million‑pound consulting engagements.
  • An established senior partner network across Secure or Defence markets.
  • Consulting leadership experience across technology or business transformation.

It would be great if you had:

  • Experience across at least two Aerospace, Defence and Security sectors.
  • Experience transitioning from delivery leadership into a growth‑focused role.
  • Understanding of how to scale consulting propositions in Secure sectors.
  • Knowledge of applications transformation, cloud modernisation or enterprise IT transformation.
  • Experience mentoring or developing consulting talent within Secure markets.
