About the Project:

The Project isafast-growing UK-based startup building anext-generation acceleration engine for Apache Spark, used inlarge-scale data infrastructure worldwide.

Atpetabyte scale, even small inefficiencies indata processing translate into massive infrastructure costs. The Project issolving this bydeveloping anovel engine that dramatically accelerates Spark workloads without requiring changes from data teams.

Requirements:

• 7+years ofoverall commercial software development experience
• Scala: 3+years ofexperience
• C++: 2+years ofexperience
• В2+English (active communication inmeetings)

Responsibilities:

• Own SQL acceleration features end-to-end— from design toimplementation and measurable performance impact
• Implement and optimize Big Data processing algorithms across Scala, Java, and C++
• Develop performance-critical components atthe intersection ofBig Data and compilers
• Work with custom DSL and code generation systems toextend query execution capabilities
• Contribute tocross-language integrations (Java ↔ C++via JNI) and overall system performance improvements
