About the service

This is an exciting opportunity to join our innovative team in the next phase of its development. The Mental Health Advice, Support and Access service launched 2 years ago and provides a single point of access for mental health support for the Norfolk and Waveney region for children and young people aged 0 up to 25yrs. Our aim is to find the right support, the right resources and the right services for children and young people, when they or their carers reach out for support. This offers the right candidate an opportunity to hone skills in the triage of mental health referrals, explore and link with other statutory and non-statutory services, and work with a dedicated and supportive team.

How the service fits in

The team works within the wider offer of the Just One Number service, a single point of access for the Healthy Child Service and the Speech and Language Therapy Service, providing children, young people and families with excellent and timely advice, guidance and routes to interventions. The Just One Number team is underpinned by our Just One Norfolk website, our evidence based digital support and resources. We are already seeing the difference the service is making in freeing up waiting times and getting children and young people seen by the right service promptly. We are only just getting started and now, whilst we look to the next 12 months, it’s an exciting time to join us.

Quality and culture

Rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission, we are proud to provide high quality innovative services across most of the east of England that enable people to receive care closer to home and live healthier lives. There’s one reason why our services are outstanding – and that’s our amazing staff – who, for the seventh year running, rated us incredibly highly in the national staff survey. If you share our passion for innovative and high-quality care delivery, then please submit your application and join us on our exciting journey as a leading-edge specialist community provider. All are welcome to apply and our promise to you is a culture which prioritises staff engagement and development.
