Overview

The Vet Office, specialist veterinary recruitment agency, is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a Surgical Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established, award-winning veterinary group operating across Greater London. This is a newly created leadership role, offering the opportunity to work across three modern practices, all easily accessible within 30 minutes of central London by public transport (or approximately 45 minutes by car).

Role details

Salary: Up to £80,000 DOE. Full-Time | Permanent | 39 hours per week | 1 in 4 weekends.

The Opportunity

This position is ideally suited to an Advanced Practitioner (AVP), Surgical Senior Vet, or certificate holder in orthopaedics seeking a dynamic, multi-site leadership role. With over 12,000 active registered clients across the London sites, there is an immediate and substantial caseload for:

  • In-house orthopaedic procedures
  • Advanced soft tissue surgery
  • Complex surgical cases
  • Development of internal referral services

There is also strong potential to expand the surgical offering and attract external referrals.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellence in clinical and surgical care
  • Provide mentorship and training to colleagues
  • Integrate seamlessly across multiple teams
  • Build strong relationships with clients and patients
  • Support the development of surgical services across the region

Role scope

  • Morning and afternoon consultations
  • Post-operative checks
  • Dedicated daily administrative time
