We are looking for a Specialist Inclusion Teacher – EBSA & SEN to join our dedicated team, supporting pupils to re-engage with learning, build resilience, and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-informed lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils, including those with SEND and trauma histories.
- Use assessment data to monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Promote pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development through trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning, consistent with the school’s behaviour policy and Staff Code of Conduct.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and specialist staff to provide effective support.
- Support pupils’ gradual re-engagement with education, ensuring EHCP outcomes are central to planning.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Hold QTS or QTLS.
- Have proven experience teaching pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of curriculum, assessment, and behaviour management in special education settings.
- Be able to plan, deliver, and assess effective teaching and learning.
- Show resilience, empathy, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable pupils.
