An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious, strategic and inspirational leader to join the Senior Management Team as Deputy Head- Academic. This is a pivotal role at the heart of King’s, offering the chance to shape and lead the academic direction of the school.
King’s delivers consistently strong examination results, underpinned by an excellent seven-year record of value-added progress, alongside an exciting and diverse curriculum spanning GCSEs, A Levels and BTECs.
Working closely with the Headmaster, the Deputy Head (Academic) will lead the development of a dynamic curriculum, helping to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning across the school. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues across the whole school, including Heads of Department, Housemasters/ Housemistresses and support staff, to deliver an outstanding academic and wider educational experience for every pupil.
The successful candidate will bring vision, energy and exceptional organisational skills, alongside a proven track record of academic leadership. They will inspire and support staff, promote teaching and learning, and oversee key areas including timetabling, examinations, reporting and academic tracking.
We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking individual with excellent communication skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
The Deputy Head (Academic) will play a central role in staff development, pupil progress and the wider life of this vibrant boarding community.
