Overview
The Regulatory Affairs Specialist ensures global regulatory compliance and market access for ADM’s portfolio in flavours, colours, flavour systems, food, beverages, and food services. The role conducts regulatory assessments to confirm product permissibility and suitability, supporting business growth and alignment with global standards.
The position can be based in London, Manchester or Stafford.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Leverage global regulatory compliance of our portfolio by conducting the relevant assessments of permissibility and suitability to unlock key markets according to
- Conduct regulatory assessments to determine product permissibility and suitability, ensuring global compliance of the portfolio and enabling access to key markets in line with business strategy.
- Coordinate, prepare, and implement annual Halal and Kosher audits for ADM production sites and European contract manufacturers, ensuring adherence to certification standards.
- Act as the primary contact and liaison for internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and expanding the Halal and Kosher certification network across the sites within scope.
- Maintain regulatory compliance for all ingredients and products throughout their lifecycle. Ensure that regulatory documentation, including Halal and Kosher certificates, is current, traceable, and accessible to all RSA team members.
- Represent Regulatory Science & Affairs (RSA) in meetings with internal and external stakeholders, leveraging ADM’s regulatory services and ensuring alignment with ADM policies and processes.
- Prepare and maintain all relevant product documentation to support customer and business needs.
- Collaborate with the RSA team and local ADM country colleagues to support new product launches, transfers, and market authorisations for products manufactured at UK sites and within the scope of the role.
- Stay informed of evolving regulatory requirements, guidelines, and industry best practices relevant to the portfolio. Provide recommendations to management on emerging risks and opportunities, and implement necessary actions in response to legal or regulatory changes.

Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related technical or scientific discipline.
- Professional proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Solid understanding of relevant food industry regulations and standards, including religious certifications (Halal, Kosher), and applicable to ADM’s portfolio in flavours, colours, and food and beverage applications.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a regulatory role within the food industry in the UK or EU.
- Proficiency in SAP or D365 is an advantage
