Overview
NRG is seeking a Compliance Business Partner to join our UK Retail Compliance team. This is a pivotal role where you’ll act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, embedding a culture of compliance while supporting commercial objectives.
You’ll work closely with stakeholders across offices and business units, providing clear, practical guidance on regulatory obligations, policies, and procedures.
This role offers the opportunity to influence decision-making, drive continuous improvement in customer outcomes, and position compliance as an enabler of strong, sustainable business practices.
About the Role
Business Support & Advisory
- Act as the first point of contact for compliance guidance, delivering practical, business-focused solutions
- Support the Senior Compliance Manager in delivering key compliance priorities
- Influence stakeholders to achieve compliant, customer-centric outcomes
- Provide insights on conduct risk and support reporting to senior management
Regulation & Reviews
- Lead reviews of products, panels, and processes to assess compliance and customer outcomes
- Conduct audits, thematic reviews, and deep dives to identify risks and opportunities for improvement
Customer Journey & Documentation
- Support the design and ongoing development of customer journeys and associated documentation
- Review business terms to ensure accuracy and regulatory alignment
Policies, Procedures & Training
- Maintain and enhance compliance policies and procedures
- Deliver training across the business, including onboarding and regulatory updates
Integration & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Support M&A and integration activity alongside Compliance and senior leadership
- Partner with stakeholders to resolve queries, including third-party relationships
Essential Experience & Skills
- Strong understanding of FCA regulations, including ICOBS and SMCR
- Experience within the UK insurance/broking market
- Ability to deliver clear, practical, and commercially focused compliance advice
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Desirable
- CII, ICA, or equivalent professional qualification
- Knowledge of Lloyd’s London Market processes and regulations
