Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, NN8 1LTShift Hours: 38 hrs per week (Mon – Fri)Salary: Competitive

We are delighted to share that we are recruiting for a Technologist within our Technical team. 

This role will see the successful candidates deliver safe, legal, responsibly sourced, quality products for their area, always focusing on our customers and demonstrating value-led behaviour.

This position would suit someone with relevant experience/qualification(s) with the ability to deliver safe, legal, responsibly sourced products to the customer. 

• Risk assessing products to be safe, legal, responsibly sourced and meet the Booker rules & policies.
• Supporting and delivering the technical aspects of the product development critical path.
• Supporting the delivery our responsible sourcing agenda across the supply base.
• Managing my products to always be great quality through on-going monitoring and improvements.
• Supporting the management of risk in our supply chains, from source, ingredients and raw materials, processing, manufacturing and Booker routes to market. (safety, business & reputational risks)
• Supporting the supplier strategy, ensuring we use the best suppliers & sources.
• Supporting the development of supplier capability through collaborative engagement, setting clear goals and measuring progress through Joint Quality Plans (JQPs) in place with all relevant suppliers.
• Responding to complaints and incidents quickly and effectively, ensuring stakeholders are aware and relevant action is taken to protect customers and Tesco.

• Relevant degree/qualifications in related area
• Practical experience of working in the food industry
• Demonstrable & relevant product knowledge to deliver safe, legal, responsibly sourced products to the customer
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Good Communication skills
• Attention to detail skills
