The Role
We are partnering with a progressive, award-winning logistics company to recruit an experienced Operations Manager (3PL, Warehousing & Transport) to oversee end-to-end supply chain operations — from goods-in, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution through to final customer delivery.
This is a newly created role driven by business growth, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact within a fast-paced, expanding third‑party logistics (3PL) environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse and transport operations, ensuring KPIs and contractual obligations are met.
- Lead, motivate and develop your team to deliver operational excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement and cost efficiency across all areas.
- Ensure compliance with H&S, HR, and quality standards.
- Support strategic site objectives and deliver against budget targets.
- Embody and promote the company’s core values.
- Build trusted relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager, Warehouse Manager, Logistics Manager, or 3PL Manager within a warehousing, distribution, or supply chain environment.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of team development, performance management, and employee engagement.
- Commercially astute with experience in budget management, cost control, and financial performance (P&L).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a hands‑on, solutions‑driven approach.
- Solid knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, transport compliance, and logistics legislation.
- IOSH or NEBOSH certified (essential); International CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) desirable.
- Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), transport planning systems, and logistics software is advantageous.
Salary & Benefits
- £45,000 – £50,000 base salary + £6,000 car allowance
