The Role

The school is seeking an experienced and highly organised Pastoral Manager to lead and coordinate student support systems across a designated year group or key stage.

This role plays a crucial part in ensuring students receive the guidance, support, and encouragement necessary to succeed both academically and personally. The Pastoral Manager will work closely with teachers, senior leaders, parents, and external agencies to support student wellbeing, behaviour, and personal development.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep commitment to supporting young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading pastoral support for a designated cohort of students

  • Monitoring behaviour, attendance, and wellbeing data

  • Supporting students facing academic, behavioural, or personal challenges

  • Working closely with teaching staff to support student progress

  • Communicating regularly with parents and carers regarding student wellbeing

  • Coordinating interventions to support students who require additional support

  • Supporting behaviour management strategies across the school

  • Maintaining accurate records and monitoring systems

  • Contributing to safeguarding and student support procedures
