Responsibilities

  • Lead by example, lift the team: As a hands-on leader, you’ll set the tone on the shop floor, motivating your team, jumping in where needed, and making sure everyone feels supported. Your energy and guidance help create a workplace where people enjoy coming to work and customers love to shop.
  • Put people first, every time: Whether you’re helping a colleague grow in confidence or making sure a customer leaves with a smile, your leadership will shape the store’s atmosphere. You’ll coach your team through busy days, guide them to deliver great service, and keep standards high across the board.
  • Keep the store thriving: From managing daily tasks to reacting quickly when things change, you’ll stay focused and lead with purpose. Whether it’s helping your team stay on top of priorities or jumping on the shop floor to lend a hand, you’ll make sure the store runs smoothly and feels great to shop in.

Qualifications

  • Grow confident, capable leaders: You won’t just lead the team, you’ll help shape it. From giving feedback and sharing knowledge to supporting training and spotting potential, you’ll play a big part in developing the next generation of Home Bargains leaders.
  • Experience supervising medium to large retail teams in a fast-paced retail environment
  • A proven track record of achieving significantly high weekly sales targets
  • Experience managing a varied range of retail categories
  • A strong understanding of store operations, performance management, and customer service
  • Prioritising and organising work effectively

Role details

  • £35,941 FTE
  • 44 hours per week
