Role Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Manager who will be responsible for developing and growing our business within the food service sector at BBF.

Monday – Friday • Blackburn (Hybrid)

This role will focus on developing our existing foodservice business and identifying and securing new opportunities with customers across the food service industry whilst driving sustainable commercial growth. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, commercially driven, and confident in developing relationships that lead to long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Identify and secure new opportunities within the food service sector. Drive sales growth by developing new customer relationships and expanding existing opportunities. Lead commercial discussions and negotiations to secure profitable business.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the food service industry. Use existing customer contacts to identify and develop commercial opportunities. Represent BBF professionally within the sector and build strong customer partnerships.
  • Commercial Delivery: Deliver against agreed sales and margin targets. Develop customer plans that support long-term growth within the food services channel. Monitor market activity and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including NPD, operations, and supply chain to ensure successful delivery for customers. Support the development of products suited to the food services market.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a commercial or business development role within the food service industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to win new business and grow customer accounts.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with an outgoing and proactive approach.
  • Existing network of contacts within the food service sector.
  • Highly motivated, commercially focused, and driven to achieve results.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Confident, outgoing, and able to build relationships quickly.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to opportunities.
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation ability.
