Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead procurement and purchasing activity across a multi-million-pound spend programme. This is a strategic role where you will drive value for money, ensure compliance, and deliver high-quality procurement solutions across the organisation.
You will play a key role in shaping procurement strategy, managing high-value and complex tenders, and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all procurement and purchasing activities across the organisationDevelop and implement procurement and purchasing strategiesManage end-to-end tendering processes, from specification through to contract awardEnsure compliance with procurement regulations, policies, and financial controlsDrive value for money through cost savings, efficiencies, and service improvementsDevelop and maintain a contract register and supplier agreementsProvide expert procurement advice to stakeholders across the businessBuild and manage key supplier relationships to optimise cost, quality, and performanceMonitor spend, track savings, and produce detailed procurement reports and analysisSupport wider business planning and continuous improvement initiativesCandidate ProfileProven experience in a senior procurement or purchasing roleStrong track record of managing complex, high-value procurement exercisesMCIPS qualified (or working towards)Excellent knowledge of procurement legislation and best practiceStrong commercial and financial awarenessSkilled negotiator with the ability to influence at senior levelExperience in contract management and supplier performanceStrong analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skillsExperience within housing or a regulated/public sector environment is desirableIf you are interested in this position and meet the above criteria, please send your CV now for consideration.
