Overview
IC Resources is working with a client who is looking for a Senior RF Engineer for a 12-month contract based onsite in Edinburgh. This role focuses on the design and development of advanced RF and microwave hardware for complex electronic systems. The engineer will contribute across the full hardware lifecycle, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-performance RF subsystems from concept through to production support. This position falls Inside IR35.

Qualifications
- RF/microwave PCB materials and design techniques
- RF microwave subsystem and module design
- Microwave simulation tools (AWR, ADS, VSS, SystemVue, MATLAB)
- 2D/3D EM simulation (CST or similar)
- GaAs/GaN MMIC application and integration
- RF synthesiser design (DDS, PLL)
- RF downconverter and digitiser design
- Passive microwave structure design
- Low phase-noise design and measurement
- Non-linear RF circuit simulation
- PCB schematic capture (Mentor or similar)
- RF lab measurements: signal generators, spectrum analysers, VNAs
