Leverage Loan / High Yield Trader – London / Paris / Frankfurt

We are a leading agency brokerage platform expanding its European credit trading capability across London, Paris and Frankfurt. The desk is seeking an experienced Leveraged Loan and High Yield Trader to play a key role in driving flow, liquidity, and client engagement across performing and stressed credit markets.

This is a high-impact opportunity to join a growing franchise with strong institutional relationships, operating at the intersection of agency execution and market intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Trade leveraged loans and high yield bonds on an agency basis across European and global markets
• Develop and maintain relationships with institutional clients including asset managers, hedge funds, and credit funds
• Provide market colour, pricing insight, and liquidity solutions, particularly in less liquid / stressed situations
• Work closely with sales, research, and structuring teams to drive flow and idea generation
• Contribute to the growth of the desk’s presence in stressed and distressed credit opportunities
• Monitor market developments, credit events, and relative value across capital structures

Requirements

• Proven experience trading leveraged loans and/or high yield bonds within an investment bank or market-making environment
• Strong understanding of secondary loan markets, HY credit, and capital structures
• Experience in stressed / distressed credit is highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to price risk and manage flow in less liquid markets
• Established client relationships across European credit investors
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to generate ideas and drive revenues

Preferred Background

• Bank trading or market-making experience
• Exposure to special situations, restructurings, or opportunistic credit
• Familiarity with both performing and non-performing credit environments
