Overview
You will work closely with the production team to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to enhance product quality. Attention to detail and a strong understanding of quality assurance principles are essential for success in this role.

Hours
Rotating shifts
Week 1 Monday – Thursday 06:00–14:30 and Friday 06:00-13:30
Week 2 Monday – Thursday 08:00-16:30 and Friday 07:30 – 15:00

Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of all quality paperwork received and/or returned from other Departments.
- Achieve departmental business objectives, contribute to product and site quality, food safety, hygiene standards and continuous improvements, cost reductions, reduction in waste and the control of non-conforming products.
- Ensure that all quality and food safety systems are operated throughout all departments with full documentation and that these meet the requirements within the BRC Global Food standard and legislation.
- Ensure tasks (QA Matrix) and any other requested activities are completed within the designated timescales.
- Assist with customer complaints: identify root causes and determine corrective actions to prevent further complaints; ensure complaints are closed out per procedure; determine supplier corrective actions where applicable; monitor complaint trends and communicate them to relevant personnel responsible for corrective action.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers, external contacts and colleagues.
- Prepare and assist in customer visits and site Technical audits where necessary.
Qualifications / Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in conducting quality tests and inspections on raw materials and finished products.
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Certification in quality assurance or related fields is a plus.
- HACCP and Food Safety qualifications are essential.
