We’re hiring and on the lookout for someone to join our wonderful creative team in Brighton.
Job title: Marketing & Creative Operations Manager
Department: Brand Marketing
Reports to: Creative Director
The Role
We are looking for a high-energy, commercially minded Marketing & Creative Operations Manager to bridge the gap between business strategy and creative execution. This is a ‘hub’ role. You will sit at the intersection of Product, Commercial, and Creative, across both Lucy & Yak and L&Y, ensuring that our marketing efforts connect with our community, but are driving the right products at the right time. You will be the engine room of the marketing department – the person who turns high-level commercial goals into actionable creative briefs that put creativity and community at their heart.
Responsibilities
2. Creative Project Management
- Commercial and Product Alignment
- Strategic Sync: Act as the primary marketing liaison for the Product team to understand stock levels, launch cycles, and ’must-sell’ priorities, across both Lucy and Yak and L&Y.
- Promo Planning: Collaborate on the promotional calendar, determining which mechanics (discounts, bundles, exclusives) will best move the needle for specific product lines.
- Performance Tracking: Keep a pulse on commercial actions to ensure marketing output is reacting to real-time business needs.
- Management of full product and marketing calendar – being the owner of all activity across both brands.
- Working collaboratively with brand team, VM etc… for alignment of full season.
- Brief Ownership: Take commercial and creative requirements from around the business and translate them into crystal-clear briefs for the copywriting and design teams.
- Workflow Orchestration: Manage the end-to-end production pipeline, ensuring the creative team has the assets, information, and time they need to succeed.
- Deadline & Budget Control: Ensure every project is delivered on time and within budget. You are the ‘gatekeeper’ of the department’s capacity.
- Freelance Management: Source, brief, and manage external contractors and freelancers, overseeing their hours and ensuring their output meets our brand standards.
What You’ll Bring
- Have a minimum of at least 5 years in a Marketing Manager, Brand Manager, or Creative Project Manager role.
- Have the ‘Translator’ Skill: You can talk ROI and Margins with the Product team and ‘Vibe and Typography’ with the Design team.
- Be a systems thinker: Proficient in project management tools to keep the whole department visible and accountable.
- Have commercial acumen: You understand that a campaign is only successful if it aligns with inventory and commercial targets.
- Have resource management: Proven experience managing creative workflows and external freelancers/agencies.
What You’ll Get
- The chance to work on unique and exciting projects in a supportive team
- Purpose-Led: Work for a business that puts people and the planet on par with profit.
- This role is based on a 4-day working week (Monday–Thursday). We believe in a focused four-day work week to achieve our goals, leaving the weekend for a proper rest. During key trading periods, launches, or peak campaigns, some additional support outside of these days may occasionally be required.
- Vitality healthcare package
- The best views in Brighton from our sunny office!
