Job Purpose

To plan, supervise and deliver all projects on time, according to requirements, resulting in a profitable contribution for the company. This client offers design, installation and service contracts on Hard FM & HVAC/R technology in commercial & retail environments across the UK. They are well backed by a parent business and have an increasing project pipeline that this role will be working with.

Key Candidate Requirements

Technical understanding of HVAC/R, M&E within a Hard FM environment and methodology. Ability to travel across the South & Midlands, remotely based with site attendance when required. Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple (5/6) projects simultaneously.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee each project to ensure the desired result is achieved, the most efficient resources are used and various interests are satisfied.
  • Agree on Project Objectives pricing, quoting and tender completion.
  • Provide advice on the management of projects.
  • Organise the various professional people working on the project.
  • Recruit, manage and monitor sub-contractors.
  • Carry out risk assessment and ensure Health and Safety practices are adhered to.
  • Ensure all aims of the project are met.
  • Ensure quality standards are met.
  • Control the accounting, costing and billing of the project.

Requirements – Essential

  • Able to build relationships with main contractors, clients and other parties.
  • Understanding of project management principles.
  • Familiar with construction methodologies and procedures.
  • Willing to travel to customer sites, which may include staying away overnight.
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
  • Ability to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve best results.

Requirements – Desirable

  • Good knowledge of MS Office and Excel.
  • CAD experience would be an advantage.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
  • Team player with leadership abilities.
  • Able to work within a team or by oneself.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Presentable, hardworking, proactive, organised and dependable.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Pride in their work.
