Project Manager MEP

Overview

NRL are working with a SME M&E Contractor who are recruting for a Project Manager MEP to join the team on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects from pre-construction through to handover and final account.
• Attend site regularly to support teams and maintain quality standards.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, and within budget.
• Maintain close relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Take full ownership of project budgets and margins.
• Work closely with QS/Directors on CVR reporting and forecasting.
• Negotiate subcontract packages and manage variations.
• Identify and manage risk proactively.
• Lead final account discussions.
• Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents.
• Support or lead the preparation of M&E tender submissions.
• Obtain and review subcontractor quotations.
• Identify value engineering opportunities.
• Good understanding of JCT / NEC contracts.
• Attend client meetings and tender interviews.
• Assist Directors in bid strategy and pricing approach.
• In a smaller business, you will be directly involved in shaping how we win work — not just delivering it.
